Visual Identification: Blomberg Trucks, squared air intake and dynamic brake blister. "M" units had wide crew cabs, and "B" units had no cab at all.
Trivials: - The GP60 was the last of the four-axle locomotives to be produced for mainline service by GMDD. CSX and Conrail were the only two U.S. railroads that did not buy this unit; Southern Pacific and it's Cotton Belt subsidiary bought the most units.
The Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe (Santa Fe) purchased the cabless B units to use in fast intermodal service, of which the GP60 highly distinguished itself. These units are now owned by ATSF sucessor, BNSF.
