"Electrical Storm"
On the night of June 9, 2008, a line of severe storms moved into North Georgia. For about three hours, the storms strobed hundreds of lightning strikes per minute, high winds, and hail. Before the storms reached my home, I was able to photograph about a hundred strokes. I haven't seen a storm this lightning intense since I was a child.

"What Cats do Best"
Any of you out there have a spouse or family member who thought it was a good idea to give a live animal for Christmas?
Despite all the cacophony of noise in a room being remodeled, the new kitty decided to take a cat nap on the bed (and the expensive curtains).

"Little River Run"
For a few months out of the year, the waters at Little River Canyon in Alabama
are flowing heavy and free. This is the deepest canyon east of the Mississippi, and has some breath-
taking scenery, as well as some gnarly white-water. The first nine miles of the canyon are nick-named
"the Suicide Run" - the rapids are rough and chances of rescue are slim.
