Railroad Radio - Live Scanner Feed

PROGRAMMING NOTES:

This scanner will only be active two to three days a week. The next scheduled uptime is:

Wednesday, September 24th, 09:00 to Friday, September 12th at 18:00.

During light-traffic hours (9pm-6am), the scanner will be tuned to the Calhoun/Gordon County Police Dept.

Scanner radios are an excellent way to keep track of trains in a particular area. The area covered by this scanner link is roughly twenty-five miles east-to-west, and about sixteen miles north-to-south (limited by terrain). Occasionally a few signals will bounce from farther away. Three rail-lines are within the area of coverage; Norfolk Southern's Atlanta North District, CSX's Western and Atlantic Subdivision, and CSX's K&A Subdivision. You will hear train crews calling out signals in the area as they approach them, but mostly you will hear Dispatch-to-Train communications. Dispatch communications are more prevelant during the day, while train transmisisons are heavier at night, especially on the NS.

Below is a general map of the area covered by this radio.
